9th Annual BREWPUBLIC Killer Beer Week Returns To Portland October 20-29, 2017

It’s the time of year as we here at BREWPUBLIC celebrate our anniversary with our 9th annual Killer Beer Week from October 20-29, 2017. As BREWPUBLIC turns 10 years old next year, we bring you, our devoted readers, 10 days of Killer Beer Week to close out our ninth year.

Back in 2008 Angelo De Ieso began reporting on the craft beer news of Portland and beyond. A year later he began organizing what is Oregon’s longest running beer week with Killer Beer Week.

If you’ve ever attended a BREWPUBLIC Killer Beer Week you know that we love to get creative. Our motto has always been and remains “Yeast, Malt, and the Pursuit of Hoppiness”! Great beer, great people, lots of fun, and this year we have lined up 10 Portland area events that bring our love of craft beer to the forefront.

For BREWPUBLIC’s 2017 edition of KBW we have 10 days of special beer events lined up. This year we return with many of our popular events along with a few new ones at a couple of new locations around the Portland area. So, without further adieu, here’s the venue line up for our 9th anniversary celebration a.k.a. Killer Beer Week 2017.

Tuesday, October 24
5:00-10:00pm
The BeerMongers – 1125 SE Division – Portland, OR
With our revolving yearly event of Name Fest shenanigans, 2017 will be the year of Matt. Back in 2011 BREWPUBLIC’s Angelo De Ieso decided that there were a rather significant number of brewers named Ben. So, Ben Fest was brought to life. Since that fateful day at the Grain and Gristle it was decided that other packs of similarly named craft beer personnel were in need of their own special days. Sean Fest, Mike Fest, Chuck Fest, Chris Fest and Dave Fest followed. This year we honor the Matt’s of the craft beer world with this special night at The BeerMongers. During Killer Matt Fest look for beers and appearances from brewers named Matt from Alesong, Double Mountain, Hopworks Urban Brewery, Pint’s, Rogue and more!

Tuesday night is also the weekly night of cribbage at The BeerMongers. Cribbage game boards will be available but if you have a lucky one from home feel free to bring it along.
