Beers Made by Walking and Washington Wild Team Up for the 2017 Seattle Hike Series

The 2017 Beers Made By Walking (BMBW) season is beginning to shape up. The latest city to have its 2017 hikes announced is Seattle. This series of hikes brings together naturalists and brewers to find ingredients in the wild that can be used in the brewing process. All the breweries participating are Partners of the Brewshed Alliance that currently has over 50 Washington breweries on board. This Washington Wild outreach program helps people make a simple connection: healthy watersheds mean clean water, and clean water makes better beer.

The BMBW hikes will take place at Upper CCC Trail on May 25th, Wallace Falls Trail on July 8th, and Cherry Creek Falls on August 16th. Each hike is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are required. Local brewers then create a hike-inspired beer that will be released on October 7th at Naked City Brewery and Taphouse. The proceeds are from the event are then donated to the Washington Wild.
