Bend Brewing To Host Fresh Hops On The Pond
After an extensive outdoor addition, Bend Brewing will host Fresh Hops On The Pond on Saturday, October 14th. This daylong event from Noon-9:00pm will feature eight local Central Oregon breweries and four live bands.
This inaugural event will be Bend’s only Fresh Hop festival that will take place two weeks after the established Sisters Fresh Hop Festival. Fresh Hops On The Pond will take place on Bend Brewing’s newly developed beer garden, overlooking Mirror Pond and will feature a total of eight local breweries showcasing its fresh hops beers. Participating breweries include Deschutes Brewery, Sunriver Brewing, Silver Moon, 10 Barrel, Crux, GoodLife and McMenamins.
“Fresh Hop beer is really celebrated in the craft beer industry and Bend lacked a festival where Bendites could taste the best of what Bend breweries have to offer. We thought no better place to throw this festival than on our newly developed beer garden overlooking Mirror Pond,” said BBC owner and president, Packy Deenihan, in a statement.
The festival will also feature live music from local bands throughout the event, including Oregon Fryer headlining (7:30-9:00) and sets from Bony Chantarelle (5:30-7:00), Scribbled Rhymes (3:00-4:45 ) and Eric Leadbetter (1:00-2:30).
