NWIPA announces lineup of events to take place during Craft Brewers Conference in Portland

Coming up in April, the Brewers Association’s Craft Brewers Conference heads to Portland Oregon, and one of our favorite pubs, NWIPA, known for their top notch selection of hoppy craft brews has recently released an amazing lineup of events scheduled to accompany. Here’s the good word from NWIPA:

It is with great pleasure that we are ready to announce our full line up of CBC events! I started working on these events in September and to now be so close to being realized is pretty f’n exciting. Let’s get to it.

N.W.I.P.A. Barley Brown's meets ComradeTuesday, April 14th 5:00 – 10:00 : Fat (Head’s) Tuesday includes a five IPAs from our good friends at Fat Head’s PDX. We have become huge fans of the beers that Mike Hunsaker is brewing in the Pearl and will be showcasing them on this night. We will have Head Hunter, IBUsive, Head Shrinker, Semper FiPA and Predictable IIPA (a collaboration with Barley Brown’s and NWIPA)! We hope to be offering their wings as well but that is still TBD.

Wednesday, April 15th 6:00 – 10:00: Barley Brown’s meets Comrade Brewing! In 2013 Eli Dickinson and Marks Lanham won GABF Small Brewing Company and Brewers of the Year and a whole bunch of medals. Marks then moved to Denver to start Comrade Brewing with David Lin and crushed the mile high city! Well Marks and David are coming to town and we convince them to bring some of their awesome beer with them. This likely will be the only place you are going to have a chance to have Comrade’s beers. in addition to that,  Barley Brown’s cellarman Addison Collard happens to be a fantastic musician, frequently playing shows at the brewery in Baker City. We asked if he would like to play here and he said “heck yeah!”. He will be starting at 8:00 pm. Roman Candle Baking Co.will also be serving pizza! Taplist coming soon but expect Pallet Jack, Pallet Stapler and Comrade’s Superpower IPA.

Thursday, April 16th: We will be closed! We will be pouring beer at BEERGASM Fest and enjoying ourselves for a second before ramping up for the weekend cause……

N.W.I.P.A. TRVE Takes PDXFriday, April  17th 6:00 to Midnight: TRVE takes PDX: “Beer. Heavy Metal. Denver.”
Help us welcome Denver’s True Heavy Metal Brewery, TRVE! Nick Nunns and the boys will be in the house. These events all started to come together at the bar at TRVE while visiting Denver last September. We fell in love with the place and the beer. Thanks to Rob at Running Man Distributing for having the same idea, we have put this together. Once again, this is likely the only place you are going to be able to have their beer in town. We will be pouring Tunnel of Trees IPA, Stout O))), Cursed Sour Pale and more. DJ Doomhammer will be spinning and Nong’s Khao Man Gai will selling their world famous chicken and rice right out front! Nong’s is available to anyone in the neighborhood as well, even minors. With that said, minors are still not allowed inside and they must take food to go.

Melvin Brewing Tap Takeover at NWIPA CBC
Saturday, April 18th 5:00- 10:00. Melvin’s Tap Takeover: Welcome Melvin’s Brewing from Jackson, WY to Portland, FoPo Style! Jeremy Tofte will be roaming up and down Foster stirring up all sorts of trouble. He is even threatening to bring his band, The Dirty Hump Nuts, too. Though subject to change, we believe these are the beers that will be pouring: 2X4 Double IPA. 2X4 is a two time Hopunion Alpha King winner, 2014 World Beer Cup Gold and 2012 GABF Gold medal winner! Hubert MPA, Deebo Imperial CDA, Citra IIPA, a Nelson IPA and Uncle Rukus Imperial Russian Stout. To satisfy that hunger in your belly, we got Han bringing the Kim Jong Grillin’ truck back too!
