I also attended this event, which I've written about here: http://dailywort.wordpress.com/2009/10/08/in-which-alan-sprints-eats-my-dinner/. I'm impressed with the Doggie Claws; I'd assumed it was the '08. It didn't taste like a fresh-from-the-fermenter barleywine. The Ruth I had was not obviously off (nor was it particularly good). I wonder if they replaced the keg?

think this is the first confirmation that cherry adam from the wood will be released in the nov dock sale. and that ruth was certainly fucking terrible. the blue dot was great, but the doggie claws tasted much like an imp. blue dot.. which is good.. i guess?

The Cherry Adam from the Wood was wild! And the Doggie Claws probably my favorite batch. Odd, I usually prefer aged Barley wines. Can't wait to try this one when it's got some time under its..er, cap.
