great pics of Wrigley...I used to live just a block from the ballpark. We'd hear the cheering on TV, then 1/2 second later the actual cheering from the park...good times.

You got almost everything right...one small correction...the neighborhoood is called Lakeview.

Anyway, thanks for the nice report! You brought back some fond Chicago memories for me. All things considered -- beer not the least of them -- I'm glad to be a Northwesterner now.

Glad you had a good time at Wrigley Field, but you are full of crap regarding Petco park. I assume you have never had the misfortune to watch a game at the prior home of the Padres; the soulless Qualcomm Stadium. I find Petco Park to be very well designed and love the location downtown. I believe it really caters to the fans first. From the picnic area for families, the mini diamond for kids, the brickwork, seats at field level along the baselines, concessions (including craft beer), and the sights from inside the stadium, I can't imagine a better design for a ballpark in San Diego. So next time instead of writing down the first thing that comes to mind, think about what it is you are writing. There are plenty of poorly designed/improvised ballparks out there (Land Shark Stadium, the Metrodome, Tropicana Field anyone), Petco isn't one of them.
