During the past 12 months there have been a few Oregon whiskeys that have hit the marketplace that have a strong connection to an Oregon brewery. This past September Deschutes Brewery and Bendistillery were first out of the gate with Black Butte Whiskey. Then in November Hopworks Urban Brewery and New Deal Distillery released HUB Brewer’s Whiskey.

Now the latest brewery and whiskey collaboration, Double Mountain Hopped Whiskey, is from Double Mountain Brewery and Hood River Distillers. Batch #001 of Double Mountain Hopped Whiskey pays homage to the bright flavors of fresh hops. Smooth citrus and floral flavors complement the sweetness found in 100% corn whiskey.

“I’ve always been torn between my affection of hoppy beers and whiskey. Now I don’t have to choose.” Says Matt Swihart, Brewmaster in a statement.

Double Mountain Hopped Whiskey is currently available at the Hood River Distillers Tasting Room and will be on shelves soon at liquor stores throughout the Northwest.
