With the brewery’s recent announcement of the new Double Mountain Brewery location in Woodstock neighborhood of Portland, the popular Hood River brewery is also set to expand with a new production facility in its hometown. This past fall Double Mountain purchased this former fruit storage building from Diamond Fruit Growers for a reported $2.2M. Located at 1460 Indian Creek Road, this new facility will also replace its current storage facility that sits alongside the Columbia River on Portway Avenue.

We first learned about this expansion in this week’s Oregon Liquor Control Commission report as it contained its OLCC Application for Double Mountain Brewery. The OLCC Application lists a request for a winery license in addition to the brewery license. This winery license will allow the brewer to become involved in cider with all of the nearby orchards.

We just heard back from an earlier email that we sent to Double Mountain with more details to follow on Tuesday.

In the meantime here’s a video of the rendering for the upcoming Double Mountain Portland location from EM Architecture.
