Gigantic Brewing To Release West Meets East New England Style IPA Today
In time to celebrate Halloween, Gigantic Brewing will bring the haze to its taps. Yes, today is the day when Gigantic Brewing joins the haze craze when it will release its first New England Style IPA with West Meets East.
When Gigantic Taproom and Champagne Lounge opens at 3:00pm you’ll get the first taste of West Meets East, Gigantic’s interpretation of this surging IPA style. But don’t come in with expectations since Van Havig is involved with this beer. If you know Havig you know he plays by his own rules. Him and his capable team of brewers went with the expected wheat and oat laden malt side of things but combined it with “traditional” Pacific Northwest hops. The hop bill includes Cascade, Centennial and Crystal as well as the new, juicy hops the kids have come to love including Citra and Simcoe.
West Meets East Tasting Notes:
A luscious mouthfeel and clean malt character serve as a solid base for juicy hop notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lychee and rose.
ABV: 7.7
IBUs: 60
Color: Hazy Gold
Draft of West Meets East will be available in limited amounts through its distributor partner, Maletis Beverage, in Portland, Oregon.
