Southern Oregon Brewery of Medford has just informed us that they will be releasing a new beer come January 2012. Prepare yourself for Black Heart Imperial Stout. This weighty 8.5% ABV ale will be a nice addition to SOB’s portfolio of delicious beers that include Woodshed Red, Nice Rack IPA, Na Zdravi’ Czech Pils, Gold Digger Golden Ale, Old Humbug Winter Warmer, a Pale, and a Barleywine. Just discovered Black Heart, and it is really good! The taste is extremely smooth without the yeasty hints found in many stouts and black IPAs. Truly worth the try!
