Southern Oregon Brewing to Release Holywater Maibock

Southern Oregon Brewing of Medford, Oregon has announced the release of their newest spring seasonal, Holywater Maibock Beer. The Maibock are helles lager brewed to bock strength; lighter in color than a traditional bock and with a bigger hops presence. Holywater joins Na Zdravi’ Czech Style Pilsner in the breweries short yet delicious portfolio of bottled lagers. If this one is anywhere as tasty, we’re in for a real treat. Here’s the description from SOB founder Tom Hammond:

Exclusively brewed with German specialty malts, our Maibock is a refreshingly crisp, spring festival beer with a pleasant malt character and a mild spicy hop twist expected from the style.  This German style lager is conditioned for 12 weeks to ensure the perfect flavor profile.

7.1% abv, Color 6 SRM, IBUs: 30

Hops: German Magnum, Sterling

Malt: Weyermann Bohemian Pils, Light Munich type 1,

Carahell, Caramunich 2 and Melanoidin.
