Very cool post Angelo. One thing I'd like to say, I feel like NB always gets bagged on for Fat Tire, and it's a pretty tasty session beer, but I can understand why it's not the beer we beer geeks go running to buy off the shelves. However, there are some other great beers in their "normal" line-up, the abbey (dubbel) and the tripel are really great beers (no matter how much brewmaster Peter Boukaert claims the doesn't brew to "shtyle"). Anyway, I'm not trying to nitpick here, just trying point out that many great breweries have their obligatory flagship that lets them brew the more innovative stuff and not have to worry about paying the bills. And most of the time, there's a reason that beer sells so well.
Cheers!

I think I've only had it as juice or as a mixer. I would love to get my hands on some. Not sure where I can find it in the PNW. Dandelion is an incredible beer. From what I've read, online is the best way to buy them. You can get 'em at http://www.lycheesonline.com/ and other sites.

Have you tried the lychee? Know where it's available? When I was 20 and on my first oversees trip, I was offered a lychee as desert on a Thai Airways flight and promptly fell in love. I'd love to try that beer. FWIW, New Belgium's Dandelion beer knocked my socks off--another weird-adjuncts beer.
