Just got back to one of my favorite beer bars, Bailey’s Taproom after visiting Deschutes of Portland for the Reserve Series release–the Dissident Oude Bruin aged with cherries. A 10-ounce snifter for $5.50 is deliciously puckering and in the league of many artfully American Brettanomyces beers. This tart little beer poured a deep almost burgondy hue. At around 30 IBU, the Dissident is well-balanced and flavorful! I was a bit surprised that the to-go price of this beer was just $10 for a 22-ouncer…cheaper than on tap.
