Widmer Soon To Release Brothers' Reserve Series #3
|
Widmer announced that they will soon be releasing the third in their Brothers’ Reserve Series. The brewery says of the beers in this series:
The Brothers’ Reserve beers are one-of-a-kind. Each run is limited, and once they’re gone, they’re gone forever. These are beers for enthusiastic beer lovers, personally crafted by two of the most enthusiastic beer lovers around. Prost!
What beer will it be? This has not yet been officially stated by the brewery, however, they did release a video of the this promising new beer being pumped into (whiskey?) barrels. Can’t wait? Neither can we!

I’ve been really interested in the styles they’ve been putting together for this series, but so far, not so excited about the results. The whiskey barrels have repeaked my interest, but lately all I’ve wanted widmer to do is re-release snow plow.
Whiskey aged snow plow…. mmmmm
I doubt this counts as official, but whoever runs their Twitter feed stated a couple months ago that it will be “Brrrbon,” a bourbon-barrel aged version of Brrr.
That sounds like a nice selection. Thanks for the info, Andrew!
I thought the Prickly Pear Braggot was incredible! I am trying to find a few more bottles to save for a rainy day…
Looking forward to this release. I hope it is available on draught in our area.
it is the brrrbon, it’s out now at belmont station, here’s the label from beer news last month:
