Astoria Brewing Brings Interesting Beers To Portland

When we found out about Astoria Brewing Company visiting Portland to share some of their unique one-off beer styles we were quite excited. Brewer John Dalgren will debut his Blueberry Lambic on draft as well as the brewery’s West Coast Lager, a Simcoe’d-out citrusy brew, and the well known Bitter Bitch Imperial IPA. The latter could quite possibly be the hoppiest beer produced in Oregon, if not anywhere in the Pacific Northwest.

So, fans of extreme brewing be warned. Here’s your chance to try these dynamic specialty brews while the gettin’s good. You may remember Astoria’s West Coast Lager and Bitter Bitch at the Spring Beer & Wine Fest where they made a big splash. In fact in past years, the Bitter Bitch won three consecutive people’s choice awards at the event for best in show. Dalgren and Astoria Brewing also collaborated with Fort George Brewery & Public House of Astoria, Oregon to produce the Truffle Shuffle Imperial Stout, a unique beer brewed with truffles to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Goonies film also made in Astoria.

Astoria brewer John Dalgren will be at Belmont Station Thursday August 12, 2010 from 6-8PM. The beer will remain on tap while supplies last. Belmont Station is located at 4500 SE Stark Street in Portland, Oregon. For more information, call (503) 232-8538.
