Double Mountain‘s co-owner Charlie Devereux wants to remind beer geeks and hopheads alike to stop by the Concordia Ale House for the first Portland pints of “Killer Green“, Double Mountain’s venerable Fresh Hop IPA. Devereux will be on hand at Concordia, raffling off Killer Green t-shirts and talking beer with the faithful.
About the Killer Green:
“This year’s KG features hundreds of pounds of wet Brewer’s Gold Hops from Sodbuster Farms in the heart of the Willamette Valley. The fresh hops were supplemented with some conventional Simcoe, Warrior and Summit hops in the kettle, and some more in dry-hopping. It’s kicking with all the fruity, floral, supremely resinous hop character that a beer called “Killer Green” should have. A big amber-hued malt base provides backbone, with no lack of strength. It’s harvest time, let’s celebrate! 7.2% ABV, 85 BU.”
Concordia Ale House is at 3276 NE Killingsworth, Portland. (503) 287-3929
