New Portland U-Brew bridges the gap between professional craft brewers and homebrew hobbyists.

To the delight of Portland beer lovers, yet another craft beer haven has opened its doors to the public on Friday. Portland U-Brew (PUB) now offers folks in the Sellwood Neighborhood a variety of craft brew options. One part homebrew supply shop, one part craft beer bar, and one part brew-on-premise production facility, founders Jason Webb (formerly brewing at Max’s Fanno Creek in Tigard) and Aaron Gillham encourage folks to stop on in and brew up a storm. The best part is that their website says to “get your friends together for a brewing party. The more the merrier. Experiment with different styles and recipes. If you tell us what you like, we guarantee we can help you make it, and we’ll do all the clean-up.”

Portland U-BrewWhile your beer brews down stair, you can enjoy a number of choice classic regional craft brews on tap upstairs. PUB even offers food from their home-style kitchen. On our first visit upon their initial opening, we were delighted to find the following brews on tap:

A two year old Fanno Creek Pilsner, Fanno Creek Cole’s Fail Porter, Fort George Cavatica Stout, Ninkasi Total Domination IPA, Bridgeport Kingpin Imperial Red, Full Sail Amber, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and Deschutes Twilight. Quite an amazing selection of Northwest brews we must say.

PUB is located at 6237 SE Milwaukie Avenue, just across the street from Dairy Queen, next door to 7-Eleven and San Felipe Taqueria. Make sure to get down there today and tell them that Brewpublic sent you! For more information, you can call (503) 943-2727.
