Lompoc Bourbon Bbl Monster Mash Imperial Porter (Bottles/Draught),Northend CDA, and Hammerin’ Hank IPA Release Party @ Sidebar

Lompoc Brewing will release Monster Mash Imperial Porter and Monster Mash Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Porter on Friday, Oct. 5th from 4 to 10 pm at Sidebar, 3901 N Williams Ave. Both beers will be available on draft and in bottles. Monster Mash features strong chocolate and roast flavors with a touch of red fruit (8.1% ABV). Bourbon Barrel Aged Monster Mash was brewed in Sept. 2010 and aged for two years in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels; it has a vanilla aroma with flavors of oak, chocolate and coffee (8.1% ABV). Both beers feature an updated label design developed in partnership with WAAMCo, the design and idea team of Woody Adams and Andrew MacKenzie.

Lompoc will also be releasing North End CDA, the winning recipe from the Timbers Army Homebrew Competition, aptly named in honor of those brave souls who sweat it out on the North End of Jeld-Wen Field every game. This Cascadian Dark Ale brings out the best of Portland’s football club. Munich and Carafa malts lend a hand (or foot) to a hopped up aroma and balanced flavor. Brewed and dry-hopped with five different hop varieties, its complex profile mixes with touches of chocolate and roasted grains to round out the full flavored beer (6.6% ABV).

Rounding out the taps will be Hammerin’ Hank IPA, named after the true home run king, Hammerin’ Hank Aaron. This IPA is generously hopped with Galena, Centennial, Cascade and Saaz hops, offering up an extra base hit of pine and citrus notes, and an out of the park dry, bitter finish. Old Hammerin’ Hank would be proud of this beer, as it stays balanced at the plate with a malty backbone and a hop-centered delivery (5.5% ABV); Oktoberfest, a pale orange lager with a clean malt flavor balanced by a touch of Perle hops – a portion of the grain used was roasted in the oven at Lompoc’s Fifth Quadrant, lending a slight biscuit flavor (5% ABV); and Kick Axe Dry Hopped Pale Ale, a light, copper-colored beer that packs a big floral nose with notes of citrus & pine. The malt delivers mild caramel flavors and the Cascade hops finish with a clean and crisp grapefruit bitterness (5.2% ABV).

As with all Lompoc release parties, there will be complimentary appetizers, courtesy of Chef Mike. We hope you’ll come kick off the fall season with one of the area’s most highly-anticipated seasonal beers. Cheers!
