On Wednesday February 15, 2012, Roscoe’s in Southeast Portland tapped a rare keg of Russian River’s Pliny The Younger as well as other dynamic bold hoppy treats like Boneyard Beer’s Hop Venom and Avery Brewing’s Maharaja. The keg of Pliny ran out in just a few minutes as expected. A great time was had by all. Check out Roscoe’s 2nd Annual Stout Summit coming up on Friday February 24, 2012.

Cool video. Nice to hear feedback about the brew. After tracking it down for the last few years I let it go this year so others could enjoy the quest.
It’s a fun experience but with so many other great IPAs out there, I’d rather avoid the madness and ticket purchasing, Twitter panic, etc. for a beer that has plenty of comparable alternatives nowadays. That probably wasn’t the case a couple years ago.
Would definitely like to see more interviews like this of down to earth folks giving their opinions on beer. Way cool.
I agree with Brian – cool video and great to hear feedback from the “common” man (no women?). The geekdom was not evident. It made me want the Hop Venom!
