Widmer Brothers Falconer’s IPA Goes Nationwide

Widmer Falconer's IPA

Widmer Brothers recently released “Falconer’s IPA.”  According to a recent press release, Widmer says they had a vision to use Hopunion’s Falconer’s Flightproprietary hop blend to create a special beer in support of brewing education in memory of the late Glen Hay Falconer. Falconers brother Quenton who heads the Falconer Foundation said “Thanks to everyone at Widmer who conceived the idea and brought it to fruition!! Falconer’s IPA is a fantastic beer and is available nationwide for a limited time,” adding “We especially like the tag line “Brewed in Tribute, Drank in Celebration.”  So find yourself some “Falconer’s IPA” now and enjoy its wonderful flavors as we all raise a toast to celebrate craft brewing, friendship, and Glen.”

Here’s the press release from Widmer Brothers:

Glen Falconer was passionate about friends, familly, and great IPAs. So in tribute, we’ve created an IPA worth of this master brewer. Made with Falconer’s Flight hops from Hopunion, LLC, a blend named for Glen himself. The result is a bright, moderately bitter IPA with stonefruit aromas and a strong malt backbone. We think Glen would approved. Proceeds from the sale of Falconer’s Flight hops go to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, providing scholarships to professional and aspiring brewers. In addition, Widmer Brothers Brewing is making a donation to grant two additional scholarships. Learn more at www.glenfalconerfoundation.org. Prost! To true hop heads.
