For this event takes place on Wednesday August 11, 2010 from 4-8PM in Widmer’s Beer Garden, across the street from the brewery’s Gasthaus pub. Brother’s Day will feature the live music of The Monarques and Brownish Black, two spectacular soulful bands.
In addition to all of the great music, beer, brotherhood, and food, Widmer will be giving away two sets of Portland Timber’s 2011 MLS season tickets at Brother’s Day. One set will be won at the event through a raffle and the second set will be awarded to the best “bro” picture. The public is invited to submit pictures of themselves and their “bro,” which can include women, friends, family members, etc. The picture that best exemplifies brotherly love will also be awarded season tickets. Photos can be submitted to BroDay@widmer.com.
Angelo grew up in Maine and is proud to call New England his original home. Cascadia is now his home. He fell in love with great beer in Oregon, Washington, and Northern California.

Angelo also has a great interest in independent music, and has been a booker and organizer for shows around the Portland under the name Pop Tomorrow! Angelo garnered much knowledge regarding beer from his experiences homebrewing, working at Belmont Station, Pyramid Brewing, Upright Brewing, By the Bottle, Beer Revolution, Olde Depot Public House, Falling Sky Brewing, Cascade Brewing, and from many many knowledgeable, passionate, and loving people along the way.
