Barley Brown’s Day @ Belmont Station

Barley Brown’s brewer Shawn Kelso is a pioneer in brewing big, hoppy, black brews. We’ll tap his GABF gold medal winner Turmoil Cascadian Dark Ale (on cask, yeah!), Chaos Imperial Cascadian Dark, Disorder Stout, and for a spicy touch, Cerveza Negra Caliente, dark ale brewed with Jalapenos.

15 of the Best Winter Beers

Ho Ho Ho

As you may be aware of, the Northwest Brewing News recently released their best of list known as “the Readers Choice Awards.” This list is a partially accurate list of some of the best brewpubs, beer bars, breweries, and beer types. Despite some obvious ballet stuffing, the list outlines a depiction of some of the region’s favorite brew culture. Inspired by the year-end best of lists as well as the amazing lineup of brews featured recently at the Holiday Ale Fest, Brewpublic felt compelled to offer a short list of some of the best seasonally appropriate beers to try. Here’s 15 beers not to miss this winter. Find ‘em at your favorite beer stores and pubs around the Northwest. Read More…

This is pleasing to know that Portland, aka Beervana, is at the forefront of the craft beer revolution where more and more goodly folks are becoming attuned to the wonder of artisan brew.

Here’s a look at some of what went down over the weekend: Read More…
