On Tuesday, June 5, The Trappist Beer Pub in Oakland will host a rare visit from Mikkeller, owner/brewer Mikkel Borg Bjergsø.
Mikkeller produces a number of full bodied, flavorful beers and has won awards in both Europe and the US. Mikkel Borg Bjergsø is a ‘gipsy-brewer’, who brews at different breweries in Denmark, Norway, Germany and the United States. Each beer is unique and usually a one-time limited release.

This is an excellent interview of Mikkel, his brewing techniques and what the future holds for his outstanding beer.
This will be a great opportunity to meet with Mikkel and for exploring Mikkeller beer. The Trappist will have a number of Mikkeller beers on tap (very hard to get) and in bottles.
