If you weren’t able to make it down to this year’s Holiday Ale Fest and try BridgePort’s Oak Aged Honey Porter, the latest beer in their Mettle & Mash series, you can now find it on tap at their Northwest Portland pub.

BridgePort Brewing Company Oak Aged Honey Porter is a malt-driven beer with a jet-black hue and lots of roasty flavors. The roastiness is complemented with honey, added to the kettle and in finishing. The beer is aged on American white oak to give added flavors of caramel and vanilla for a smooth finish.

Here is a short video clip from BridgePort’s Brewmaster, Jeff Edgerton. Here he talks you through their newest beer at BridgePort – The Oak Aged Honey Porter. This beer, available on draft only, and is now available at BridgePort in Northwest Portland.

Oak Aged Honey Porter Tasting Notes:
The Oak Aged Honey Porter is the darkest beer that BridgePort has ever made. Brewed with the perfect blend of roasted malts and actual honey and then aged on oak, this easy drinking beer rings in at a surprising 7% ABV. A well balanced beer full of coffee flavors, the Oak Aged Honey Porter pairs well with crackling fireplaces and awkward Christmas Sweaters.
