Celebrate Horse Brass Pub's 37th Anniversary with Double Mountain

Double Mountain's Killer Brass-Dangerous Blonde Ale

On Friday, one of our favorite pubs to visit, Horse Brass Pub, begins celebrating 37 years in business with a weeks worth of events. And to help celebrate, Double Mountain Brewery decided to brew a special fresh hop beer for this years festivities. Beginning on Friday, November 1st, you will be able to drink Double Mountain’s Killer Brass-Dangerous Blonde Ale (DBA).

This “dangerous” fresh hop ale was brewed with extra fresh Mt. Hood hops from Sodbuster Farms in the Willamette Valley, and added to a base of Pilsner malt, a little rye, and some Oregon clover honey.  The spice of the rye compliments the Mt. Hood’s pleasant, clean, forest aroma, and leaves a finish that is as crisp as a fall Northwest morning.  The warmth of the honey evens the palate, and makes this a perfect beer to celebrate this time of year. It’s a strong blonde, but you can handle it. It sits at 8.2% ABV along with 45 BU’s.

Killer Brass DBA will only be available on tap at The Horse Brass Pub in Portland, Oregon and the Double Mountain Brewery & Taproom in downtown Hood River, Oregon.
