Hopworks Releases Two Seasonal Beers Featuring Hand-Picked Estate Hops

Hopworks brewing crew

Hopworks Urban Brewery recently tapped two new “one-off” seasonal beers featuring hops grown on a small San Juan Island farm exclusively for the brewery.  The Willamette and Cascade hops were grown on land transitioning to organic practices, picked by hand and dried on a custom built dryer. Both beers are on tap at the brewpub and can be found at select locations in Portland.

This black lager is as dark as it is delicious.  It embodies the German ‘Schwarzbier’ with a big, rich chocolate aroma, and deep roasted malt flavor and mild sweetness while still achieving a light, crisp lager finish.  This simple and stunning beer is sure to make your palate purr.
