Lompoc Brewing Releases SaazAll Pilsner Tonight

Lompoc Brewing is all set to release their new SaazAll Pilsner today. The release party will be held at their Sidebar location in North Portland beginning at 4:00pm. For the release Sidebar will be featuring their new SaazAll Pilsner along with five other beers, including a 2009 Cheery Stout aged in Maryhill Winery Merlot barrels.

Their SaazAll Pilsner features a clean, bready maltiness quality. This beer was then dry hopped in the fermenter with exclusively Saaz hops, giving it a spicy hop finish and a enjoyable 5.5% ABV.

For the release at Sidebar, Lompoc will also be featuring five other beers on tap, a few that are rare. These include the following:

Cheval de Trait Belge:
Named in honor of Belgian work horses which are one of the strongest breeds of horses. This dark Belgian strong ale has a malty body finishing dry with notes of chocolate and tobacco. 8.5 % ABV

2009 Cherry Stout:
Brewed in July 2009 and aged in Maryhill Winery Merlot barrels with 35 pounds of sour cherries for almost three years.  It is pitch black in color with an aroma of tobacco and leather. It has flavors of chocolate, oak, and cherry, finishing with a slight sourness.  4.5% ABV

Black and Blue:
The beautiful thing about session beers is that they are perfect for the morning, especially for breakfast. We created the perfect ale to accompany the start of your day. The Black and Blue Ale features organic Keamun Black tea that blends wonderfully with the blueberry puree that we let this ale age on. With a little bit of rye malt to give this beer a spicy kick and crystal hops to help bring out the fruity aroma, this beer has a surprising amount of layers. Simple, yet complex, we are sure the Black and Blue will have you coming back for more. 4.9% ABV

Pamplemousse Citrus IPA:
This deep golden, medium bodied Citrus IPA offers up refreshment that will satisfy all your senses. Four hop varieties along with real grapefruit juice build a solid hop bitterness highlighted by citrus notes, both on the tongue and in the nose. 5.8% ABV

Kick Axe Dry Hopped Pale Ale:
This light, copper-colored beer packs a big floral nose with notes of citrus & pine. The malt delivers mild caramel flavors and the Cascade hops finish with a clean and crisp grapefruit bitterness. 5.2% ABV
