McMenamins Double IPAs Roadhouse Beer Invitational

McMenamins will be bringing out the hoppiest of beers from four of its breweries and bringing them all to Cornelius Pass Roadhouse & Imbrie Hall on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 for its Double IPAs Roadhouse Beer Invitational.

Beginning at 6:00pm, the Double IPA list will include Prize Rooster Double IPA, Battlestar Hoptactica DIPA, Meridian Monster, Centennial SMaSH DIPA. This special beer tasting will last until the hop bombs are fully cashed out. To make the night more enticing McMenamins will be offering up some extra special pricing all night long!

Prize Rooster Double IPA
Cornelius Pass Roadhouse Brewery
High, resounding notes of blossoms and citrus let you know you are in his barn. Admire his white head held high as he struts his well-proportioned body across the yard. Battlestar Hoptactica DIPA

Prepare your palate to be jettisoned into a whole new level of DIPA experience, because this beer is on a mission. A strong malt backbone supports a bombardment of hop-blasts to deliver wonderfully layered aromatics and flavors of orange, pineapple citrus, and passion fruit. A deep orange hue, sturdy white head, and fine, American bitterness all serve to further a brew that drinks on a galactic scale. So say we all.

Meridian Monster

Meridian Monster is a double IPA featuring Meridian hops. Meridian is a newer hop variety that imparts a mild lemon flavor to the brew and finishes clean and crisp. The hop character is supported by a monstrous malt backbone of pale malt with pilsner, Vienna, rye and some light caramel malts. Meridian Monster may sound scary, but it is really quite approachable and refreshing. Make friends with a monster today!

Centennial SMaSH DIPA

Here is another example of a SMaSH beer. One single style of malt was used to create this ales golden straw color and crisp, clean malt flavor. Centennial hops are the single hop used to produce this IPA’s bitterness, flavor, and aroma. The flavor profile of these hops can be described as floral with a hint slight lemony citrus.
