11th Annual Oregon Garden Brewfest Preview & Beer List

2015 Oregon Garden Brewfest Poster

One of the highlights in the Oregon beer festival season is the Oregon Garden Brewfest. The 11th Annual Oregon Garden Brewfest returns this upcoming Father’s Day weekend, June 19-21. This indoor and tented festival held at The Oregon Garden in Silverton allows its guests to explore the magnificent 80-acre botanical garden with your beer.

Speaking of beers The Oregon Garden Brewfest does an amazing job at acquiring almost 70 breweries to serve two of its offerings during the weekend festival. This is an excellent opportunity to sample beers from breweries in a very casual setting. Plus a few of these breweries at this year’s event are rarely seen in the Portland market. At less than an hours drive from downtown Portland; The Oregon Garden is closer than you think.

To get the Oregon Garden Brewfest kicked off properly, on the eve of the fest, June 18th, The Oregon Garden will host the 4th Annual Brewer’s Tasting Dinner beginning at 7:00pm at the Oregon Garden Resort. Currently there are a limited number of tickets available to the public at $50 plus service fees. These tickets can be purchased in advance here, but don’t wait, as these will go offline here very soon.

Oregon Gardens Brewer's Tasting Dinner Menu 2015

The Brewer’s Tasting Dinner serves six courses, each featuring a small-plate paired with a unique beer from one of six selected breweries. This year’s featured breweries include Buoy Beer Co, Crux Fermentation Project, Ex Novo Brewing Co, Ecliptic Brewing, Vagabond Brewing and Wild Ride Brew.

Representatives from each of the breweries give a presentation about their beer during the dinner, which is attended by brewers participating in the festival, industry insiders and beer aficionados. Each course will be a small plate paired with a beer tasting from one of our participating breweries. The brewers will take a few minutes to talk to us about each of the beers.

Frank Lloyd Wright Gordon House at The Oregon Garden

If you have never been to The Oregon Garden this is a property that boasts some fabulous plants and scenery along with one of its hidden treasures, the Frank Lloyd Wright Gordon House. The house was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1957 and was moved to The Oregon Garden in 2002. This is the only Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building in all of Oregon. Plus it is the only one in the Pacific Northwest that is open to the public.

One of the benefits of the Oregon Garden Resort hosting this beer festival is that there are accommodations on the garden grounds. The Resort is just steps from Brewfest. Book your Brewfest room now online or call 503-874-2500.
