Migration Brewing Celebrates Pride Month with Colors of Love Party

Migration Brewing is the latest brewery to join in on celebrating Pride Month as it will host Colors of Love on Thursday, June 13th at its original location on Northeast Portland.

Colors of Love will kick off at 5:00pm and will feature ten chefs from other local restaurants that will be part of a special food menu for the evenings event. Tournant will be setting up a raw oyster bar on the patio, and 10% of proceeds will be donated to Basic Rights of Oregon.

You can wash these oysters and the rest of the food offerings down with the new Pride beer, Colors of Love, a hoppy hefeweizen from Migration Brewing. Starting at 6:00pm, DJ Queasy will be spinning records throughout the evening.

“We’re really excited about this celebration and the chance to give back to an important part of the community that has been vital to our company’s success,” said Colin Rath, Migration’s Pub Operations Director, and Co-Owner in a statement. ”Especially in today’s political environment, we believe that it’s important to support causes that we believe in. Pride week is directly in line with our values as a company to create welcoming places of employment and customer engagement.”

Colors of Love came together after Migration’s Executive Chef Casey Gipson and his team began reaching out to other local establishments about a potential Pride event during the month of June.

“The response was amazing,” said Gipson in a statement.  “Everyone we talked with was stoked to be a part of a fun food and beer centric event that supports a cause that is important to all of us. I always love getting different chefs into my kitchens to see what concepts and ingredients they’re getting excited about. These collaborations are also able to be multi-dimensional with the brewery onsite. It really makes pairing the food fun.”
