OMSI Presents Space Beer Dinner with Ninkasi Brewing

Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is back at it with another beer dinner. For its November dinner it will partner with Ninkasi Brewing of Eugene for the museum’s Space Beer Dinner on Tuesday, November 7th.

In time for the release of Ninkasi’s third-edition of Ground Control, its bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout that was fermented with space-traveled yeast it will partner with OMSI of an out of this world beer dinner. The upcoming Space Beer Dinner will be a beer-pairing dinner created by Bon Appetit’s Executive Chef Kit Zhu.

Doors to the Space Beer Dinner will open at 5:45pm. The evening will begin with a science demo at 6:00pm, followed by a 3-course dinner paired with Ninkasi beers at 6:30pm. The grand finale with be dessert served with the exclusive space beer, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Ground Control.

Space Beer Dinner Menu:
Appetizer:
Mixed mushroom crostini, lemon mascarpone, balsamic reduction
Beer: Helles Belles Lager

1st course:
Mizuna Garden Greens, beets, shaved fennel, pomegranate, lemon vinaigrette and truffle powder
Beer: Pacific Rain Pale Ale

2nd course:
Espresso and wine braised short ribs, creamy soft polenta, grilled rapini with lemon
Vegetarian Entrée: Roasted kobocha squash, sunchoke puree, garlic Brussel sprouts and sautéed mushrooms (If you would like the vegetarian option, please email us and let us know. events@omsi.edu)
Beer: Sleigh’r Winter Ale

3rd course:
Dessert: Pear chocolate pie with espresso caramel sauce and cream Chantilly
Beer: Ground Control Stout

Tickets are $60.00 per person (OMSI members get a 15% discount) and include dinner, refreshments & gratuity. Advance ticket purchases are required, no tickets will be sold at the door due to food ordering processes.
