Uptown Beer Co. Presents Chili Con III: The Search for Spork

To close out the month of February, Uptown Beer Co. will host its third edition of Chili Con. However, for this year’s event, Chili Con III: The Search for Spork, it will be a take home experience that’ll take place on Saturday February 27, 2021.

The lineup for 2021 will consist of six participating local breweries where each one will create a chili and beer pairing for judging by the people. This year’s breweries include: Ex Novo Brewing, StormBreaker Brewing, Modern Times Beer, Ecliptic Brewing, Little Beast Brewing, and the on-site BinaryBrewing.co. Like every year Uptown Beer Co. will be donating a portion of each ticket to a non-profit organization ensuring all have access to healthy food. This year the non-profit will be the Oregon Food Bank.

Tickets to Chili Con III: The Search for Spork are very limited and available through www.uptownbeer.co as well as in person at Uptown Beer Co.’s Scholl Ferry location. The $40 ticket will include a 16oz crowler can of each beer, a 4oz sample of each chili and a special edition Chili Con III pint glass. Awards will be given to the best beer, chili and pairing all voted by you the people. Tickets will go on sale on Friday February 12.

“Our beer events are part of who we are at Uptown Beer Co.,” said co-owner Joshua Johnson, in a statement. “We were almost as sad as we were at the end of Star Trek II Wrath of Kahn that we might not be able to host it this year. Luckily we were able to create a take home version and much like Spock, Chili Con rises again!”
