Gigantic Brewing & Northwest Museum of Cartoon Arts – Comics Swap Fundraiser

Northwest Museum of Cartoon Arts and Gigantic Brewing Host Comics Swap Fundraiser, Saturday, June 14

Comic book fans have something to look forward to next month! The Northwest Museum of Cartoon Arts (NWMOCA) are teaming up with Gigantic Brewing to present their first-ever Comics Swap. This community fundraiser will take place on Saturday, June 14, from 12 to 6 PM at the Gigantic Brewing Taproom in Southeast Portland.

This event will feature 14 local vendors, appearances by Portland artist Todd Blackwood and Eisner Award-winning comics writer Mark Russell, and a chance to explore great comics at unbeatable prices. Whether you’re a longtime collector or just getting into comics, this is a fun and unique opportunity to connect with Portland’s vibrant comics community.

Admission to the Comics Swap is free, and donations to NWMOCA are encouraged to help support their mission of building an inclusive, permanent space dedicated to the cartoon arts. Attendees must be 21+ to attend.

The event also features Gigantic Brewing’s impressive array of beers, pizza made by the former owner of Handsome Pizza, and delicious eats from 808 Grinds.

NWMOCA’s mission is to create an inclusive and engaging space that celebrates the history, diversity, and cultural impact of cartoon arts. The organization has hosted free kids’ comics workshops, appeared at conventions, and is building momentum toward a permanent home for fans and creators alike
