Second Annual Pacific Northwest Homebrewers Conference Returns To Vancouver, Washington

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 16, 2017 – Registration is open for the second annual Pacific Northwest Homebrewers Conference (PNWHC) March 17-18 in Vancouver, WA. The regional conference welcomes homebrewers from British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and beyond to expand their brewing skills through two days of educational seminars, networking opportunities and evening tasting events.

“The PNWHC is a great way to get together with area homebrewers, improve your brewing skills and just have fun,” says Conference Chair Jill Marilley. The PNWHC is endorsed by the American Homebrewers Association and complements the AHA’s annual Homebrew Con by providing access to expert educational opportunities and social connection within the hobby of homebrewing to the Pacific Northwest region.

The conference’s 30+ educational seminars facilitated by brewing experts will cover a range of subjects including brewing kettle soured beers, brewing with hot rocks, moving from homebrewer to professional, and many more. There are seminars for every level of brewing experience, from the novice homebrewer to the veteran zymurgist alike.

Conference registration also includes the opening night toast and dinner, keynote speaker lunch, closing night dinner, exhibit hall access and two incredible evening tasting parties. At Friday’s “Pro-Brewers Night”, registrants will mingle in the exhibit hall and enjoy beers from the region’s top breweries. The conference culminates Saturday night with the highly anticipated “Club Brews” tasting event at which regional homebrew clubs will be serving their best beers from fun themed booths. Costumes are encouraged!

The PNWHC introduces Will Kemper of Chuckanut Brewery in Bellingham, WA as the 2017 Keynote Speaker. With decades of experience in the brewing industry, Will’s talk will center on his passion for brewing, how he came to be a brewer, his path to starting over 25 breweries around the globe, and his continued commitment to quality and to his values in creating beer.

The conference’s $199 early registration fee includes two days of educational seminars, three meals, exhibit hall access, two evening tasting events, goodie bag and commemorative glass, and can be purchased online. The registration price will increase to $229 on February 21.

Attendees arriving early can choose to join fellow beer lovers on two bus tours that visit some of Portland and the Colombia River Gorge’s most respected breweries. Bus tour prices range from $58.50-$68.50 per person and include transportation, beer, lunch and goodie bag.

The conference will be held at the Vancouver Hilton. Reserve your room at the conference rate of $132 per night (+ taxes/fees) by calling 360-993-4500.

PNWHC is made possible through the generous support of Brewcraft USA, The American Homebrewers Association, Bader Beer and Wine Supply, Amoretti, Micro Homebrew Supply, and Yakima Valley Hops.
