2025 Jackalope Jamboree Returns to Pendleton, Oregon For Three Days of Indie Country

Jackalope Jamboree 2025

In less than two weeks, the sixth installment of the Jackalope Jamboree will return from June 26 – 28, 2025 to the historic Happy Canyon Arena in Pendleton, Oregon. This year’s Jackalope Jamboree will feature over thirty Americana and indie country music performances across three stages, headlined by Midland, Paul Cauthen and 49 Winchester.

But it’s the festival’s undercard that truly sets this festival apart from others. The bands that we are excited about are Sarah Shook & The Disarmers as they perform for the final time, while the Vandoliers brings its high-octane country for another visit to the Jamboree. Then there’s Taylor Hunnicutt, Tylor & The Train Robbers, Lowdown Drifters, and Ken Pomeroy that’ll be worthy of listen!

Held in Pendleton, whose motto is “the real West,” is a city where the best of western tradition and heritage lives on. It’s a community that embraces its history while also bringing in new traditions. Its downtown is walkable with plenty to do with a great brewery, Prodigal Son, and distillery, Oregon Grain Growers Brand Distillery. Plus, Pendleton is not more than a 1/2 day’s drive from plenty of major cities in the Pacific Northwest.

The Jackalope Jamboree is truly a community-inclusive event for music fans of all ages. Yes, music is the focus but there are plenty of distractions, including this year’s craft beer sponsor, pFriem Family Brewers, its craft cider sponsor, Portland Cider Co., and its whisky sponsor, George Dickel. There will also be plenty of a domestic beer and non-alcoholic options such as kombucha and seltzer water from Hodgen Distributing.

Prior to the Jackalope Jamboree officially kicking off, the Great Pacific will host theofficial 2025 Jackalope Jamboree Kick-Off Show on Wednesday, June 25. The Barbaras, the Sally Ford led band, and Marley Hale will perform from 7:00 – 9:00pm.

Each of these shows will take place from 1:00 – 1:45pm. Stop by for some tasty food, live music and a great selection of beer on tap from pFriem Family Brewers.

This year’s After Parties include Jenny Don’t And The Spurs on Thursday night hosted by Pendleton Eagles. Then come Friday and Saturday, The Rainbow Cafe will host the After Party shows on Main Street with Darci Carlson rocking the stage on Friday night and the Neon Prairie Dogs on Saturday night. We have attended the Jackalope Jamboree the past few years and with each year, organizers make a few tweaks that improve the overall festival atmosphere. The grounds are nicely laid out. There’s not a bad seat at all. The large grandstand for the Hodgen Main Stage is in close proximity to the stage with plenty of seating options or a fun general admission area up front for standing and dancing. The Blue Mountain Stage is essentially the side stage with plenty of standing room with great sightlines and sound. Plus, with the two main festival stages, the music never overlaps and with their close proximity to one another, attendees will not mis any music.

Last year the festival added a much-needed Food Court that was located just east of the Blue Mountain Stage. It allowed for additional food vendors with plenty of options to be had. This relocation also allowed for additional local merchant booths  filled with clothing, jewelry and art, all underneath the grandstand section. It also brought a large activation area for pFreim Family Brewers where they had cornhole boards and a beer tasting area where the brewery gave out some nice Jackalope Jamboree themed swag.

If you’re looking for a place to stay, there are still plenty of rooms available in the Pendleton area. For those staying near I-84, there’s a free hotel shuttle taking you to and from the Jamboree, including the after parties in downtown Pendleton. This shuttle worked out great for us over the past few years of attending the Jackalope Jamboree. And if you miss the shuttle, Pendleton does have ride share services.

If you want to stay closer to the action, the festival offers on-site camping options for both tents and RVs, all adjacent to the Happy Canyon Arena. There are still spots available, but don’t delay as they’re filling up fast. And if you want to arrive to town early, camping check in can begin as early as Wednesday, June 25th with departures on Sunday, June 29th.

So grab your favorite western shirt and cowboy hat, and head on out to Pendleton for three days of stellar indie-country music while enjoying beers from pFriem Family Brewers, cider from Portland Cider Co. and whisky from George Dickel!
