Brews for the Birds – A Beer & Music Festival for Wildlife
|Brews and birds, not the most expected combo, but the two will come together for a great fundraiser in early August to support a local wildlife refuge. Brews for the Birds, a free two-day outdoor beer and music festival, returns to Sherwood on Friday, August 1 and Saturday, August 2 at Langer’s Entertainment Center. The community celebration supports the Friends of the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge Complex, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting wildlife and providing environmental education across the region.
Brews for the Birds is an all-ages, pet-friendly event featuring live local music, craft beer and cider, food vendors, and family activities—with all proceeds from beverage and merchandise sales going directly to the Refuge’s programs in habitat restoration, youth outreach, and conservation education.
This year’s performers include Lloyd Jones, Knuckle Grease Station, JaSkaMon, and Mariachi Luz de Oro, along with other regional acts.
“When you combine local beers and cider, local musicians and local art vendors with a fantastic community cause—you cannot help but have a great time and feel good attending the 3rd Annual Brews for the Birds,” said Bonnie Anderson, executive director of the Friends of the Refuge. “Wildlife and wild places are an integral part of our community, so come out and enjoy a brew for the birds!”
Brews for the Birds – A Beer & Music Festival for Wildlife will take place over the course of two days on Friday, August 1 from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 2 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m at Langer’s Entertainment Center. Entry is free along with free parking and all ages are welcome and the event is pet friendly. The event is made possible with generous support from The Miter Foundation, City of Sherwood and Langer’s Entertainment Center.
