Celebrate NWIPA 4th Anniversary On September 10th
It’s been four years since NWIPA has taken over the Foster-Powell Neighborhood serving up some of the hoppiest beers in all of Portland. To commemorate this occasion the intergalactic hop warriors at NWIPA will celebrate with its adoring fans as it hosts its 4th Anniversary on Saturday, September 10th from Noon to Midnight.
To mark this occasion, NWIPA will be selling its 4th Anniversary commemorative glassware for $4.00 each. All full pours will be $4.00 and for those of you looking for something smaller, half pours will be $2.00 each. Cash is highly encouraged for ease of service. Also look for all new NDUBS t-shirts at the event.
The lineup of IPAs looks quite tempting. The list below gives descriptions provided by Jackson Wyatt himself with five all new collaboration IPAs along with one returning GABF Silver Medal Winner!
Block 15’s The Dab Lab : NWIPA
The DAB Lab series focuses on fresh, resinous, and vibrant hop-forward ales—each brewed with CO2 hop extract in addition to our selected hop varieties. The inaugural N.W.I.P.A. entry in this series was brewed for our anniversary. It features super critical CO2 extractions of Apollo, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops in the kettle, alongside dry-hop additions of Citra, Galaxy, Chinook and Simcoe. #DankAssBeer
Claim 52’s Fasten Your Seat Spelts
From Eugene comes Fasten Your Seat Spelts, a hazy, juicy ipa with spelt and oats added to the malt bill for a pillowy mouthfeel. Charged with Comet, Equinox and Mosaic for tropical, fruit forward beer that will have you begging for more.
Fat Head’s Galactic No Show
What happens when Daddy says he can’t make us a beer and then decides he can but picks a date that we have prior obligations to. The most important part is that they finally made a single hop IPA with Galaxy. This bad boy should be a crisp, clean diesly dank killer!
Great Notion’s Don’t Haze Me Bro
We designed this beer with James and Andy to be a tropical crusher! We selected HBC 342 experimental hops, noted for there stone fruit flavor, with El Dorado and Mosaic hops to take this bad boy to the next level. Resting on malt bill of pilsner, wheat and oats for a soft, smooth ride.
Cloudburst’s All Due Respect
We have been lucky enough to befriend Steve Luke up in Seattle and he has been awesome enough to hook us up with some of Cloudburst’s finest! This little treat was bittered with Warrior hops, whirlpooled and dry hopped with Mosaic and Amarillo and then Citra and Hull Melon in a second dose of dry hopping!
Laurelwood’s Eazy Duz It
Brewed for last year’s anniversary, this sucka went to Denver and brought back a silver medal at the Great American Beer Fest for Imperial IPA. They brewed a fresh batch for this year and we had to get one!
Look for food out front during the anniversary from Chicken & Guns as they’ll be serving their tasty food from 4:00 to 9:00pm. Then beginning at 8:00pm, Fuzz Gun will be performing for about two hours.
