Though we are in the middle of August, Oktoberfest celebrations are only a month away. Chuckanut Brewery located in Bellingham, Washington will host its annual Chuckanut Brewery Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 1:00-10:00pm.
One of the region’s top producers of German-style beers, Chuckanut Brewery will host this annual tradition with entertainment for the entire family. Many of the festival attendees will dress in lederhosen and dirndls while joining in on the day’s activities that includes a yodeling contest, liter holding contest and of course the hammerschlagen contest.
Chuckanut Brewery’s family style traditional Oktoberfest encourages everyone to have a good time. Entry is only $2.00 and for kids 10 and under entry is free! The Bellingham Balloon Fairies will be on hand with their magical face paints for adults and kids. There will be 3 courts of Corn Hole to try, ping pong, foosball, Giant Jenga and Skiball to take part in.
Of course there will be Chuckanut’s award winning German-style biers on tap along with brats, German pretzels, and pickled eggs. There will also be a station to make your own pretzel necklaces. The regular food menu will be suspended for the day and return on Sunday. Plus there will be lots of music and time for good ole polka under the big tent.
