Crux Fermentation Project Presents Saisons on the Lawn

Spring is here..so the calendar says and Crux Fermentation Project is ready to celebrate as it hosts Saisons on the Lawn. Yes, the perfect beer for a nice spring afternoon will be the featured beer on Saturday, April 22nd from Noon – 8:00pm.

Saison is the French word for spring and this beer style is typically a fruity, spicy, wild, rustic, and refreshing pale ale that is high in carbonation and low in alcohol—also known as a farmhouse ale. It’s a beer style that has seemed to have lost a bit of steam over the past few years. Its unfortunate, as Saisons are nuanced and are perfect for an afternoon session!

But at Saisons on the Lawn, it will not only be Saisons from Crux as the Bend brewer has invited a few of their brewing friends for the day’s festivities. In total there will be nine Saisons being served. This includes Saisons from Alesong Brewing & Blending, Wolf Tree Brewery, Ferment Brewing Co., Monkless Belgian Ales, The Ale Apothecary, Deschutes Brewery, Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery, Little Beast Brewing, and the host brewery, Crux Fermentation Project.

In addition to the Saisons, Crux has a full day of live music lined up. Matt Mitchell will kick things off from Noon-2:00pm, followed by Evan Mullins & CJ Neary from 2:30-4:30pm and ending with One Mad Man from 5-7pm.

Entry is free. Taster package is $20 and includes a special 9oz Belgian-style glass and 5 tokens. Additional tokens can be purchased for $2. Each token gets you a 4oz sample. Or fill your glass with 2 tokens. All proceeds benefit the Oregon Brewers Guild.

Plus, Crux will be bringing back its weekend brunch in time for Saisons on the Lawn. This revamped service begins on Saturday, April 22nd.
