Located on the banks of the Columbia River just north of Portland, the new(er) McMenamins property in Kalama, Washington will host the inaugural Kalama Harbor Lodge Inaugural Brewfest. Taking place on Saturday, August 10th, the Kalama Harbor Lodge Brewfest will feature Washington brewed beer, cider, live music and more! The festival will take place from Noon until 10:00pm at the property’s Westin Amphitheater.

In April 2018, McMenamins opened this property that includes its own 7-barrel brewhouse and hotel. It’s a nice spot for a daytrip from the Portland area as there are a few bars and restaurants on the property. With sweeping views of the Columbia River, it looks to be a great place to spend the night.

McMenamins is currently the sole brewery in town as Hart Brewing, that later went on to become Pyramid Brewing left Kalama back in the late 1990s. Now McMenamins has brought this brewing heritage back to Kalama. The brewer may possibly be hosting the very first beer festival in Kalama. Plus, according to McMenamins PR firm, it is touting the fact that actor Rainn Wilson spends a fair amount of time in this small town along Interstate 5. Who knows, maybe Dwight Schrute will be in attendance on Saturday.

The festival will take place outdoors at the McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge as patrons will be able to sample beers and ciders from local producers. There will be brewery tours every half hour form 1:00-4:00p. Plus a day of live music with Avi Haviv (2:00-3:30pm), PRPG (4:00-6:45pm), and Electric Relic (7:15-10:00pm).
