With the warmer weather that lies ahead for us here in Portland over the next few days, the folks at Montavilla Brew Works will host its latest beer seminar with a German-Style Beer Tasting. Taking place on Thursday, August 29th from 3:00-9:00pm, Montavilla Brew Works will serve four different German inspired beers.
This tasting of four 4oz German-style beers will cost $8.00.

“Lickety Split” – Kölsch-style ale
“Plywood Pilsner” – German Pilsner
“Old Cowboy Town” – German Altbier
“Old Cowboy Town (dry-hopped)” – Hallertau dry-hopped Altbier
Brewers Michael Kora and Alex Graham will give a talk at 7:00pm on how each beer style is brewed as it relates to raw materials, fermentation technique and recipe formulation. This will be followed by a tour of the brewery’s 10-barrel brewhouse.
