One way to ring in the upcoming New Year is to hit the slopes of Mt. Hood Meadows when it hosts a New Year’s Eve Celebration with pFriem Family Brewers. This 2017-2018 winter season, Mt. Hood Meadows celebrates its 50th Anniversary with many various events to mark this milestone.

On Sunday, December 31, 2017, Mt. Hood Meadows will partner with pFriem for a night of skiing and celebration. The ski lifts will run past midnight as fireworks light up the nighttime sky over our favorite mountain, Mt. Hood. There will also be a dinner buffet and dance party with Counterfeit Hits indoors with a customary champagne toast at midnight.

Here is more from the press release from Mt. Hood Meadows…

It’s a Party on the Mountain – New Year’s Eve Mt. Hood Meadows style. For the 50th time a new year will dawn on the slopes of Mt. Hood Meadows. This 50th anniversary edition includes extended night operations until after midnight, a rail Party in the Park freestyle event, a delicious dinner buffet, a tween party with games and music, a 21 and older party with Counterfeit Hits, champagne toast and balloon drop presented by pFriem Brewing, and a fireworks display (at 10:15 PM).

Lifts run until after midnight
How “suspenseful” it will be to start the New Year suspended between one year and another. Lifts run until after midnight to give you this special “uplifting” sensation. A special 3 – midnight ticket is available online for just $49, or can be purchased at the resort. If you already have an unlimited, night or value pass, you’re Golden!

Party in the Park presented by ReRack
It’s a free rail jam with great grinding and styling. Swag will be distributed; there’ll be some Meadows 50th anniversary trivia for more prizes and music to create a great vibe. The New Year’s Eve Party in the Park will be presented in Shipyard – a free rail jam. Thanks ReRack!

Spectacular New Year’s Eve Buffet Dinner
Talk about a feast – it may be the best dinner you’ll have this entire year! New Year’s Eve is a showcase for the culinary talents of new Executive Chef Daniel Dehay and the entire culinary services team. There are three seatings at 5:30 PM, 6:30 PM, and 8:00 PM. Seating times are limited so should be reserved online. Any remaining seating can be purchased on a first come, first served basis at the Concierge Desk upon your arrival at Meadows.

The Fireworks at 10:15 PM
The fireworks can be viewed from the base area or from the mountain (but not from the chairlift) and there is no charge for the fireworks display. The brilliance of the fireworks display, reflection of the explosions off the snow and the reports echoing off the mountain adds a whole new dimension to fireworks. And it’s free to watch!
