Reuben’s Brews To Close Its Seattle Fremont Taproom
|
After 19 months in business, Reuben’s Brews Taproom location in the Seattle Fremont neighborhood is set to close its doors in less than two weeks. Its final day of service will be Sunday, May 18, 2025. Reuben’s Brews will continue to operate its Ballard Taproom and will soon open its new Downtown Seattle location this summer.
When it was first announced in August 2023 that Reuben’s Brews would take over the former Vif Wine|Coffee location at 4401 Fremont N, the property was listed as being part of a large development for the area. The redevelopment plans that were submitted to the city of Seattle back in 2023, included an application for a 5-story, 109-unit apartment building with retail and parking for 37 vehicles. It now appears that this project is now moving forward and Reuben’s Brews will depart this location in two weeks.
Here are additional comments that were posted by the brewer on its weekly email…
We knew it might happen, but we hoped it would be later. The property owner of the lot where our Fremont taproom is located has informed us that they will be knocking down the building to redevelop the site. Our last day of service will be Sunday, May 18th.
Sharing this news is bittersweet because we’ve been thrilled to be part of the Fremont community for nearly two years. During that time we met so many great people and made so many new friends. Hopefully we’ll continue to see you at our Ballard taproom (which isn’t going anywhere), or soon, our downtown taproom on First Avenue!
