With the continued growth of import beers in the United States, Ayinger Privatbrauerei from Aying, Germany has joined in the fray. Better known as Ayinger Bairisch Pils in Bavaria, the brewery has recently launched this beer in the United States as Ayinger Bavarian Pils.

Arriving for the first time on our shores, Bavarian Pils is a German brewed golden lager offering up a clean, crisp malty backbone that is accented by generous amount of hops. Bavarian Pils was recently awarded a Gold Medal (93 points) at the 2017 World Beer Championships.

We recently had this beer the other evening on draft at Prost! in North Portland. It was so tasty that a second round was ordered to satisfy our tastes!

Ayinger Bavarian Pils Description:
Ayinger Bavarian Pils is the flavor of a fruitful barley harvest, seasoned with noble hops: a brisk golden lager with snappy hop aroma and velvety-soft malt flavor, from locally-grown barley. A thick creamy head rests atop this brilliantly clear, golden elixir. Ayinger Pils shows the masterful perfection of four classic ingredients melded by a family’s generations of brewing skill: barley malt; hops; water from an Ice Age aquifer via the brewery’s well; and lager yeast.
