Double Mountain Brewery Releases Killer Green, Killer Red and Killer Juicy

Once again Double Mountain Brewery has brewed up a few fresh hop beers from this year’s hop harvest. For 2020, Double Mountain has bottled up Killer Green, Killer Red, and Killer Juicy in 500mL bottles.

“What’s cooler than being cool?” said Tyler Justice Allen aka Snax, Double Mountain Brewer, in a statement. “Sticking over eight pounds of the freshest Willamette Valley hops in each barrel of our 2020 ‘Killer’ beer series. Welcome to flavor country, Double Mountain-style.”

Here are descriptions on each of the 2020 fresh hop beers provided by Double Mountain Brewery.

Killer Green Fresh Hop IPA
On this harvest moon, we bring you a blast of fresh hops like only Double can do. Centennial picked and packed in the Willamette Valley came straight from the bine to the boil. These juicy little pearls deliver visions of bright evergreen, blood orange, currant, and lush pine. Be Green. Drink Killer Green. 7.3% ABV 96 BU

Killer Red Fresh Hop IRA
Hops from the Willamette Valley are picked, transported, and put into the brew on the short side of two hours. The exorbitant amount of fresh Centennial whole leaf hops heaped into the kettle and hop back give this juiced up IRA a wonderful ripe apple, juicy forest, and fruited pine flavors and aromas. 7.0% ABV 85 BU

Killer Juicy Fresh Hazy
Fresh Centennial and Strata hops pour into a dense tropical rainforest dripping with the sticky, delicious mango, ripe summer peach, light cannabis, and deep orange. With hops this fresh, the decision to make this beer was the right decision. Clearly. 5.4% ABV 25 BU

Killer Green, Killer Red, and Killer Juicy are now available in 500mL bottles and on draft at the brewery’s Hood River Taproom, SE Portland Taproom in the Woodstock neighborhood, and throughout the Pacific Northwest.
