Epic Brewing 2023 Big Bad Baptist Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout Series

It’s that time of year again when Epic Brewing readies the release of its 2023 Big Bad Baptist Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout series of beers. The Salt Lake City, Utah brewer has been planning this six variant series for well over a year and is finally able to get this series of beers in the hands of barrel-aged beer fans!

For the 2023 series there will be six variants, all inspired by a combination of the brewer’s favorites, fan requests, and years of barrel-aging experience. The variants include Naked Baptist, S’Mores Big Bad Baptist, Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt Big Bad Baptist, Blueberry Pie Big Bad Baptist, Coquito Big Bad Baptist, and Brewers Keep Big Bad Baptist. All six will be available for the first time in both 22oz bottles and 16oz cans!

Naked Baptist
What you are about to drink is the naked depiction of Big Bad Baptist in the way God – I mean the brewers – intended it. Be ready to indulge in au naturel, Bourbon barrel-aged deliciousness, unadulterated by coffee and cacao. Jokes aside, the brewers have been begging to package this for years. Cheers to one of our favorite Epic beers ever!

S’Mores Big Bad Baptist

Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt Big Bad Baptist
Indulge yourself in this barrel-aged goodie made with swirls of Alchemy chocolate, caramel, and a pinch of sea salt. This beer from your dreams is finessed with the precision of a world-class chocolatier. A confectioner’s delight!

Blueberry Pie Big Bad Baptist
We all love homemade dark chocolate blueberry pie, now imagine it was a beer! Indulge yourself in the charm of this unique, bourbon barrel-aged stout that was baked – I mean brewed – with blueberries and nutmeg. Each swig beckons another bite!

Coquito Big Bad Baptist

Inspired by the classic Puerto Rican cocktail, Coquito Big Bad Baptist is 100% aged in Rum barrels, laced with rum-soaked coconut, and finished with cinnamon and vanilla.
