A new collaboration beer hits the taps today as Gigantic Brewing partners with Fort George Brewery on the release of Crystal Visions West Coast IPA. This new Northwest DIPA will debut today at Gigantic Brewing when it opens at 3:00pm.
After collaborating in 2013 with Fort George as part of the inaugural 3-Way IPA that also included the now defunct Lompoc Brewing, the two breweries are back at it with a new big, bold IPA.
Crystal Visions is a Northwest DIPA that’s loaded with Sultana, Simcoe, Cascade and Chinook hops creating intense citrus with notes of pineapple, grapefruit, and pine. In making Crystal Visions, Gigantic’s vision was to make a delicious classic West Coast Double IPA that contained the brewery’s favorite classic and newer hop varieties.
Label art for Crystal Visions is provided by Portland artist Aaron Piland. Aaron blurs the line between mind and matter. Like an astronaut exploring the cosmos, he rides in a ship of the imagination exploring the mysterious inner dimensions of emptiness and form, visiting abstract landscapes that melt into the vastness of space on an epic search to bring back hidden treasures and ancient memories lost in the cosmic debris of time and space.
Check out more of his art currently on display at the Gigantic Taproom and on his site www.aaronpiland.com
