DOWNINGTOWN, PA: Victory Brewing Company proudly introduces Home Grown New American Lager, its innovative sessionable and hoppy lager. Six varieties of 100% American whole-flower hops—Azacca, Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Citra, and Mosaic—are the star ingredients in this very drinkable 4.8% ABV lager. The carefully selected combination of ‘homegrown’ American hops pairs juicy and resinous aromas with a unique mix of low-bitterness and citrus flavor with a touch of pilsner maltiness—promising to make this brew one both IPA and lager lovers are surely going to appreciate.

Home Grown New American Lager is the brewery’s latest shining star of authenticity, proving Victory’s leading brewing principal of combining European tradition and American ingenuity is alive and well within the saturated beer market. From the brewery that is already known for making the acclaimed traditional German pilsner, Prima Pils, Victory has now also redefined what an American lager can be to both craft and domestic drinkers. Ron Barchet, co-founder, brewmaster, and COO explains, “Lagers have always been a successful and labored style in Victory’s portfolio. Our expertise in cold fermentation and use of whole flower hops effectively guided our innovation process for this ‘hoppy lager.’ After sixteen iterations of experimentation, we were able to bring these flavorful hops into a lighter body, while creating a sufficient, crisp finish.”

Home Grown features inviting aromatic notes of pine, citrus, and hop resins that melds perfectly with flavors of tangerine citrus and slight maltiness. Bill Covaleski, co-founder and brewmaster elaborates, “Our goal has always been to deliver beers to you that offer satisfying comfort. But, we never overlook the excitement of bold twists and nuanced flavors. Look for Home Grown to deliver all of the above as the crisp lager body supports an aromatic and delicious blaze of whole flower American hop glory.”

Home Grown New American Lager is available year-round and can be found in Victory’s home market of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. In August the brand will expand further south and west, eventually hitting Victory’s entire 35 state footprint. Home Grown will be sold in 12oz bottle 6-packs ($9.99 SRP) and 12-packs ($18.00 SRP).
