Eyeluvoregonbeer!

Here’s a quick plug for our friend Christopher Baker at Eyeluvbeer. We’ve known Christopher from his days of banging the drums in the band Ross (Beach) & The Hellpets. Turns out, like most of us Oregonians, he’s also a big beer geek. Eyeluvbeer is an apparel and sticker company based here in Portland. You may have recognized their signature logo, an eyeball, followed by a heart, followed by the outline shape of Oregon, followed by a frothy mug of beer. The t-shirts have been making their way around Beervana. If Christopher has close to as much success as the person who started the stickers depicting the state of Oregon with a heart inside, we figure he’ll fair quite well.

How did you get the idea for starting Eyeluvbeer?

Angelo of Brewpublic (left) with Christopher Baker of Eyeluvbeer at MICROHOPIC 3CB: Eyeluvbeer evolved from a simple sticker concept that would not leave my mind, and of course from my love of beer, especially ones brewed in the great state of Oregon. After being told from my marketing genius and significant other, Wendy “just do it” several times, I finally decided to get the ball rolling around May of 2010. I asked my friend Megan, who by the way is also a genius, if she would be willing to work up the sticker design with her superior Photoshop skills. She did not hesitate to tackle the task and provided excellent suggestions along the way. My first product, the sticker, was eventually conceived and sent off to print. Since then, my long time child hood friend, mentor, artist and computer wizard, David has offered to lend his creative mind to help develop the web site.

How has the promotion of your new company been thusfar?

CB: I was also blessed and surprised to get a spot at the July, 2010 Oregon Brewers Festival on such short notice. It has been a little hectic and stressful doing something new and unfamiliar, but it also been very exciting.

And, as far as the future is concerned, what do you see?

CB: The future of Eyeluvbeer will entail additional design work that can be placed on several mediums. Currently, the focus is on decals and apparel, but eventually I envision being able to provide graphic design as well. Whatever happens, I am having fun. I hope you enjoy Eyeluvbeer as much as I do.

Christopher has just started a blog for Eyeluvbeer as well as a website where you can order merch. Check these out:
