Portland, OR – For Laurelwood Brewing Co., it’s not always about “cheers,” it’s also about cheer. For the past several years, the success of the brewpub’s annual toy drive has given kids at the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital presents to unwrap during the holidays. This year’s efforts are already underway, with Laurelwood collecting new and unwrapped toys at their NE and SE Portland pub locations until December 21, 2014. Participants won’t leave the pub empty handed – Laurelwood is gifting the givers with coupons for $2 pints or a free non-alcoholic beverage. The brewpub looks forward to bringing this year’s haul of toys to the hospital. “It has become our favorite tradition here,” says Desi Riscol, Laurelwood’s Area Manager. “We say the brewpub is a place where friends and family meet, but it’s also where friends and families help each other. We love seeing the community get together to make this toy drive a success, and the happiness it brings to the kids and their families.”
